Young Hyson Tea is a type of green tea made from tender, young tea leaves that are harvested early in the spring. It’s known for its fresh, grassy flavor and mild, slightly sweet taste, with a bit of vegetal quality. The term “Young Hyson” refers to the way the leaves are processed—specifically, they are picked before the leaves are fully matured, and then lightly steamed or pan-fired to preserve their delicate flavor.

Young Hyson is considered one of the higher-quality green teas, though it’s a bit different from other green teas like Sencha or Dragon Well in its flavor profile. It's often described as smooth and less astringent compared to some other green teas, making it a great option for those new to green tea or anyone who enjoys a lighter, fresher brew.

It’s also packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which makes it a great choice for promoting overall health. Like other green teas, it may help with digestion, support metabolism, and improve mental clarity.
